Ski-Dawgs was started in 2017 by David Thomas with original board member Tracey Galloway with a mission of empowering individuals with disabilities to experience the thrill of water skiing in a controlled safe enviroment 100%. David's love of skiing goes back to his childhood when he leared to ski on the same water that our clinics are held today. After his injury, he never lost his love for water skiing and now has a passion for sharing that love with others.
foster a strong sense of community among our skiers, their families and our volunteers. Our clinics encourage camaraderie where individuals can gather to fellowship with others who experience many of the same challenges faced on a daily bases. If you're not ready to try the adaptive ski, we also offer rides on our large inflatable tube. This can be ridden by the registered participant with a family members or volunteers riding along side for support! And if you're not into water sports, all are welcome for a great day of food and fun!
All clinics rely on donations, grants and volunteers. 100% of charitable contributions go toward insurance, gas, equipment and costs associated with our ski events. All staff members are volunteers and the use of the event site, tow boat, and jet skis are offered at no charge to Ski Dawgs.
